GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

El Concilio of San Mateo County (ECSMC) is seeking to hire an Operations Manager to join our non-profit agency’s leadership team.  Under the supervision of the Executive Director, you will be in charge of providing inspired leadership for our agency, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions. You will support the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures as well as grants administration.  You will also be assisting with our Human Resources, recruiting, and help promote an agency culture that encourages morale and performance.

 

Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in operations management, human resources or a related field, and have prior experience in a management or leadership position.

 

ABOUT EL CONCILIO OF SAN MATEO COUNTY:

For over 40 years, ECSMC has served thousands of underserved individuals and families in San Mateo County through its educational, health, energy and advocacy programs. While ECSMC’s services target Latinos, immigrant and POC communities, we are a non-profit, community based agency that serves all low-income individuals in San Mateo County.

 

OPERATIONS MANAGER MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide inspired leadership for the organization and administrative support to the Executive Director
  • Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions
  • Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures
  • Serves as a person with primary responsibility for safe and efficient daily operations for the agency.
  • Assist with recruiting when necessary
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the agency.
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations
  • Support worker communication with the management team.
  • Maintains a database for all program grants and deliverables
  • Communicates and coordinates daily circulation operations activities. Maintains work schedules to meet agency service needs.
  • Tracks and monitors assigned budget and produces required reports for agency and functions. Reviews and approves monthly reports as assigned.
  • Resolves staff and client incidents, problems, concerns and conflicts ensuring that Rules of Conduct are followed or redirects to appropriate source. Resolves and refers other operations issues.
  • Promotes, educates and supports principles with staff and patrons. Resolves related concerns or redirects to appropriate source
  • Participates in activities such as committee work, training, staff meetings, etc
  • Engages with the community and special population groups, as assigned
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned

 

OPERTATIONS MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, human resources or related field.
  • Experience in management, operations, and leadership
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners and employees.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial management

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Valid California State Driver's License

Current and Full Automobile Insurance
